Babel’s educational programs were granted full accreditation in January 2002 by the Accrediting Commission for the Distance Education Training Council (DETC).

 The DETC, headquartered in Washington DC, is a non-profit organization promoting sound educational standards and ethical business practices within the distance learning field.The Accrediting Commission of the DETC is an accrediting agency listed by the US Department of Education. Babel University is the first Japanese institute accredited by DETC.
