| Develop Your '3 I-skills' I believe anyone aiming at a global career and lifestyle must develop their '3 I-skills' -International experiences, Information technology, and Intercultural communication. I would like to share my personal experiences in this essay to encourage my fellow Babel University students to utilize the Master of Science in Translation program to enhance these skills. |

Secondly, information technology has shortened the time and efforts to obtain the resources we need as well as the tasks you want to perform. I have been achieving my goals efficiently using web search engines like Google and Yahoo, as well as online social networking tools like Facebook, Twitters and LinkedIn. These powerful tools have been shaping new business models and allow people across the globe to reconnect at fingers' tip. Also, with digital devices like smart phones and notepad, you can synchronize your data and be able to work and study anytime and anywhere with ease.
Last but not the least, intercultural communication is the key to become a true global citizen. No matter your environment is a 'melting pot' or a 'salad bowl', it is essential to have cultural sensitivity and respect for others. This can be reinforced with language skills and global mindset. Although English can be the mutual language for communication in most cases, multilingual people have the advantage to understand their counterparts and express themselves better.
You can gain abundant international experiences while studying at Babel University Professional School of Translation. The headquarters is based in Hawaii and classes are run in Japan campus.
